   I purchased a Canon printer online from Lazada last June 2022, about 6 months ago, and after the printer malfunctioned while it was under the Canon 12 monthly repair warranty.

   I immediately contacted (emailed) the Lazada online seller asking where I could take the printer in the Cebu area for repair. The seller responded, emailing me the name and address of 2 Canon authorized repair shops in Cebu, and the name of a contact person, addresses, and cellphone numbers.
   Shortly afterward, I telephoned the repair shops requesting repair service, and providing them with the defective product information; yet still, both of the shops refused to accept the printer for repair, though at the time, and even now, the printer is still under the manufacturer’s warranty.

   Both repair shop’s refused to repair printer because I had not purchased the printer directly through the repair shops, and thus, they wouldn’t honor the Canon warranty even the repair shops had indicated they were official authorized Canon manufacturing products repair centers.

   I do not understand the reasons given, as to why I was refused repair service, and quite frankly, I feel the practice, and policy violates the Philippine consumer protection laws for which which at last resort, I will immediately file a formal written complaint with the Philippines DTI, Division of Consumer Protection for remedy of these alleged violations.

   I would like to share info. currently ang service center for canon printer only mao ni na number 266-7562 Loc. AMV bros., 9 F. Cabahug St, Cebu City, Cebu
